Many Paths to Peace
About a week after The Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood killed innocent people, a series of packages containing suspected pipe bombs were sent to prominent Democrats. Then, two Black people killed at the Kroger store in Kentucky. To denounce those hideous racially motivated acts of violence, the City of Boise held a gathering at the Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial. I called and asked to be a part of this event. My goal was to teach people that, “Love needs to defeat hatred”! The message I gave was, the best way to defeat acts of racial hatred, is for people to unite. We must show no fear and fight, using the number one tool of the human race, love.

In A World of Love
This speech was an honor for me to present. I have given more speeches than I can count, but preparing for this speech made me think hard. I believe God sends people like Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King to do His work. Like so many others before him, I believe Reverend Dr. King was one of God’s messengers. Make no bones about it he was a man of God. He was not perfect. Neither are you and neither am I. Having said this, we the people of this country need to get over ourselves and hear the word of God from those He chooses to deliver it to us.
